A moment forever in a dream…
Dive in and explore a dark and unknown sea as Magpie, a diving officer in Iris Station F-23. Complete puzzles and discover more about you and the world around in a tense and melancholic experience of RPG cosmic and psychological horror.
MAGPIE is set in a dystopian future where the Earth’s oceans have turned into a dark tar-like substance that corrupts and distorts anything it touches. Beaches have turned black, marine life has been all but eliminated, and humanity has been forced to move inland in order to survive. In a fight to understand, coastal facilities have been constructed around the world to execute hands-on research surrounding the Tar and its devastating effects.
The story begins as Magpie, a Diving Officer, prepares for another routine descent into depths unknown.

ESMER
ESMR (Engineer-Control, Security-Technician,Marine Surveyor, Resonant Unit), or “Esmer”
Esmer is a biomechanical humanoidunit that was developed after the first Tar appearances. Their lesser organic matter makes ESMR Units better suited for close work around the tar than regular humans.
She is an engineer at Iris Station-F23 and often aids Magpie in their dives or fixes any equipment that starts to corrode, even if it comes at the cost of exposing herself to the Tar.
MaGPIE
Magpie was born with an innate resilience and resonance with the Tar, as such they are an incredibly useful asset in humanity’s efforts to understand this new and terrifying phenomenon.
Because of this, they were sought out as a Diving Officer at Iris Station F-23. Here, they participate in routine descents in order to conduct research and observe the after effects in ways that no one else could.
GaLE
Gale is the only Doctor at Iris Station-F23. Her main responsibility is to look after Magpie, tending to them and monitoring the levels of corruption within them after each dive.
Unlike the other two, Gale is a regular human. She was transferred to The Facility shortly after it was established, originally working alongside a team of medical officers, but is now theonly one remaining.
